Who We Are

Built by Instructors, for Instructors

USCCWInstructors.com was created by firearms instructors who have spent years helping students find qualified instructors across the country. In doing that work, we discovered a problem: there is no single, current national resource that accurately organizes firearms instructors by credentials, services, location, agency approvals, range relationships, and availability.

Existing information is scattered across government lists, certification organizations, training companies, ranges, individual websites, and older directories. We believe the firearms-training community needs something better. USCCWInstructors is being built as a free professional network where instructors can confirm their information, receive student referrals, refer students to qualified instructors in other markets, and become part of a more comprehensive national instructor resource.

Our goal is simple: make it easier for instructors to help students — and easier for students to find the right instructor.

No charge to join

Participation in the network is free — no paid memberships or paid listings.

No class calendar

We do not require you to maintain another class calendar.

No booking platform

We do not require you to adopt another booking platform.

We maintain the resource

We intend to organize and maintain the information so you don't have to constantly manage another online profile.

USCCWInstructors is independent of any single certification organization, training company, range, legal-service provider, or booking platform. Instructors with certifications, affiliations, and relationships from many different organizations are welcome.

Our Story

Why We Built It

We were already referring students to instructors across the country. The difficult part was finding current information. Instructors retire. Certifications change. Agency approvals change. Range relationships change. Some instructors stop accepting students, while other highly qualified instructors can be surprisingly difficult to find.

Instead of continuing to rely on disconnected lists, spreadsheets, and directories, we decided to build the resource we wished already existed.

Why Join

More Than an Instructor Listing

USCCWInstructors is being built to connect qualified instructors with students whose specific training needs match their certifications, agency approvals, location, and services. Whether you teach locally or serve students pursuing multi-state permits, your professional profile helps us understand when you may be the right instructor for a training opportunity.

Where you teach
Your base of operations and the areas you serve.
What you are certified to teach
The credentials that define the scope of your instruction.
Which agencies approve you
Issuing-authority approvals, tracked separately from certifications.
What services you provide
Classroom, live-fire, renewals, fingerprinting, and private training.
Where you conduct training
Ranges, classrooms, and facilities you use or have access to.
When you are available
Whether you are currently accepting students.

Profile Capabilities

One profile built around the dimensions that matter

Each dimension is tracked as distinct information — certifications, approvals, services, and affiliations are never treated as interchangeable.

Certifications
Professional training credentials such as California DOJ, NRA, USCCA, Utah BCI, and other recognized instructor certifications. Identification numbers are never requested or displayed.
Agency Approvals
Recognition from individual issuing authorities — especially in California, where sheriffs, police departments, and counties may maintain their own approved training providers.
Services
CCW instruction, classroom training, live-fire qualification, renewals, private firearms training, fingerprinting, and related services.
Range Affiliations
Ranges and training facilities where an instructor owns, works, teaches, or has authorized training access.
Multi-State Training
Capability to help students complete requirements associated with multiple permit programs.
Professional Affiliations
Training organizations, associations, and legal-service or membership organizations. Holding a certification does not by itself create an affiliation.

Multi-State Opportunity

Your Training May Serve Students Far Beyond Your Local Market

Students increasingly pursue multiple permits and may complete different portions of their training in different locations. A student might complete an online educational component through one provider, an in-person course through another instructor, and live-fire qualification while traveling in another state.

California, Utah, Arizona, and Hawaii are examples of markets within the network's multi-state training focus. Requirements differ by program and jurisdiction, and nothing here should be read as legal guidance.

Example — one student, three providers

  1. Online educational component

    Completed through one provider.

  2. In-person course

    Completed with another instructor.

  3. Live-fire qualification

Completed while traveling in another state.

Ranges & Training Facilities

Ranges Are Part of the Network Too

Many instructors are independent, while others own, work for, or maintain relationships with shooting ranges and training facilities. We track live-fire availability, classroom facilities, affiliated instructors, training programs, and fingerprinting services for ranges and facilities. Student booking integration is a future capability.

  • Range owners
  • Training academies
  • Firearms schools
  • Private training facilities
  • Security training academies

Professional Security Training

Beyond Concealed Carry Training

Concealed carry training remains the primary focus of the network, which also welcomes qualified providers offering professional security training.

  • Armed guard training
  • Unarmed guard training
  • Guard card training
  • Firearms qualification and requalification
  • Executive protection training
  • Use-of-force training
  • Corporate and security-team firearms training

Regulatory authorization for this work varies by jurisdiction. Provider information will be tracked separately from general firearms certifications.

How It Works

A simple, mobile-friendly path — no complicated software

Many instructors are independent professionals who do not want another complicated technology platform. The experience is intentionally simple.

Referrals

Built for Referrals — Not Just Listings

The long-term network is being designed to identify instructors who can satisfy specific student training requirements, rather than simply publishing a large instructor directory. That matching capability is under development and is not operational today.

Help Us Build the National Instructor Network Our Industry Has Been Missing

We are currently inviting qualified instructors to become part of the founding network and help establish the initial national instructor database.
